Property Info

"The Bay Breeze Cottage III" is conveniently located in the Ocean Park neighborhood near the Lynnhaven Inlet.  The cottage is just a 3-minute walk to lovely Lynnhaven Beach that overlooks the Chesapeake Bay.  From the beach, you can enjoy panoramic views of the 17-mile long Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel to the west and historic Cape Henry and the Atlantic Ocean to the east.

Only 15 minutes from the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, you'll be strategically located to get most anywhere in the area in short order.  Closeby, are numerous fine restaurants, entertainment and shopping venures as well as both city and state parks and the Virignia Beach Bayside Recreation Center, an indoor facility with pool, gymnasium, weight rooms, racketball courts, bowling lanes and gameroom.  There's lots to keep you entertained without having to venture very far!

Great Room

You can comfortably relax in the spacious greatroom highlighted by beautiful yellow pine wainscoating.  Lots of windows and a solar-tube skylight keep the room light and airy.  Soft, overstuffed sofas and comfortable armchair make for great relaxing as you enjoy watching the digital 52" television with DVD player...and keep up with the world on wireless internet access.  And, throughout the home are lovely, newly refinished oak hardwood floors...very warm, very homey!



The full kitchen is nicely laid out with new ceramic tile and all applianes...dishwasher, disposal, stove, oven, refrigerator with ice-maker plus small applicances...micro-wave, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker.  And, of course, all the necessary diningware is provided.  There's ample storage space, andin addition, to the overhead cabinets, there's a large storage cabinet for can goods and dry goods.  The kitchen is roomy, however, since there's an adjoining diningroom, we chose not to set up a table in the kitchen.

Dining Room

Adjoining the kitchen is the spacious diningroom that overlooks the new sundeck.  The table offers seating for six guests in comfortably padded chairs...the room is very light and airy!

The First Bedroom

The largest of the three bedrooms has double closets providing lots of storage space.  The queen bed, as all other beds, has quality dust ruffle with matching comforter and pillow shams.  An oriental carpet warms the room and makes it that much more cozy.

Second Bedroom

This spacious bedroom has light colored furnishings which with the light hardwood floors makes it bright and cheery.  The closet has double hangers that provide lots of storage space.

Third Bedroom

The third bedroom again is most spacious, and provides its guests a half bath.  The room is highlighted by a lovely fabric wall hanging in a nautical theme.

Main Bathroom

Although the bath is located in the middle of the building, a solar-tube skylight keeps it bright during the day, and fairly well lit when the moon is shining.  There's newly installed ceramic tile as well as new fixtures.

Washer and Dryer Closet

At the end of the wallway, just before entering the main bathroom, is a large closet that encloses both a full size washer and dryer.  As well, there's additional storage space overhead...

Outdoor Living Areas

One of the features you'll like most about "The Bay Breeze Cottage III" is the very spacious raised sundeck offering plenty of room to relax.  There's plenty of chairs, chaise lounges and a nice glasstop dining table for six.  The back yard is very private and shaded by a lovely old live oak tree. 


Parking here is private and offstreet.  Typically, three to four cars can park in the space provided.  The building faces a residential steet where the speed limit is 25 miles per hour.  Lots of people walk by to the beach, particularly just before sunset.

Our Lovely Beach, Lynnhaven Beach on the Chesapeake Bay

Just a three-minute walk from "The Bay Breeze Cottages" is the lovely Lynnhaven Beach.  This wide, sandy beach overlooks the Chesapeake the west you have a panoramic view of the 17-mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (as seen in Tom Cruise's latest "Mission Impossible III"), an absolutely georgeous sight at night!  And, then, looking to the east, you have a wonderful view of historic Cape Henry where the English explorers first landed in America here at the mouth of the vast Chesapeake Bay.  And, just a quarter mile to the east is Lynnhaven Inlet where fishing is great and dockside restaurants abound!
