This newly remodeled ten bedroom residence that accommodates twenty-five guests is located in the oceanside community of Sandbridge Beach, the beginning of Virginia Beach's Outer Banks. Surrounded by the 13,000 acre Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and the vast freshwater Back Bay, you will encounter a vast array of wildlife and birdlife...indeed a unique environment in which to relax and enjoy freedom from our asphalt city life.

Great Room
|
Like most all second-level rooms, the very spacious oceanview greatroom has a very high vaulted ceiling with two celestory windows at the peak that baths the room in light. Furthermore, there are four accent beams and a large Hunter ceiling fan to help move the gentle summer ocean breezes. The room is lined by butter-soft leather sofas and nicely accented by a lovely burgundy oriental rug. As far as entertainment, guests can enjoy listening to their favorite music on a nice mini-stereo system, or watch their favorite programing on the 50" Sony digital cable television, or connect wirelessly to the internet. But, best of all, is "the million-dollar view"...the entire oceanside wall provides a 28 foot panoramic view of the mighty Atlantic Ocean...the sunrises are truly incredible! The experience of living on the ocean is truly mystical and not to be soon forgotten!

Dining Room

Adjacent to the greatroom, in the center of the home is the open and airy diningroom. A very large granite table that seats ten sits beneath a glass atrium facing south toward the ocean. Accenting the room is a unique glass-topped stairway and contemporary crystal chandelier...the back wall is fully mirrored always reflecting the view of the ocean.

Kitchen
|
Newly remodeled, the roomy kitchen is located on the front (bayside) of the home. Recently, custom blue-pearl granite countertops and backsplashes were installed along with a matching custom-built trellis table that seats eight. And, there's plenty of space to store everything in the huge pantry as well as the center work-island. Cook if you must, however, if you want a vacation away from the kitchen as well, make arrangements for our catering service to step in occasionally.

First-Level Bedroom

The First-Level Bedroom, we call it, the Small Master Suite, is just inside the home as you enter from the Dune Level Deck...it's a great room for Grandma and Grandad, as it eliminates their having to traverse the stairs. The spacious suite boasts a comfortable queen bed, a private bath with jetted tub, plus a nice kitchenette. Just a short walk and you're on the very nice Dune Deck with lots of seating space, a private shower (with both hot and cold water), and in just a few steps, you're on the beach!

Second-level Ocean Master Suite
|
This oceanside Grand Master Suite is huge with an eight foot door leading out to a private sundeck...the views, particularly the sunrises, are not to be missed...even though you're on vacation, you'll want to rise early for sure. The room offers guests an entertainment center with 35 inch digital cable television and DVD player as well as a mini-stero system...watch from bed or relax in one of the over-stuffed chairs. Step into the newly remodeled Master Bath where a custom tile carpet lies before you and the room is bathed in light by a solar-tube skylight! Lastly, enjoy the custom wall art..."Whales at Sea"...to inspire you constantly view the ocean for those surprise sightings that occur when you least expect them!

Second-level "Reef" Bedroom
|
Located on the front (bayside) of the home, just across from the main bath, is the Reef Bedroom. Added just this year is a comfortable king bed amid various mediums of wall art that depicts marine life on the reef. It's indeed a warm and soothing environment, always affording guests a haven of rest.

Second-Level Kidz Place Bedroom
|
Newly decorated in 2007, The Kidz Room, offers lots of space for up to up to nine. Two bunks...one, a double over a double with a pull-out twin, the other, a traditional bunk with three twins. Plus there's a nice desk...a great place to set up your laptop as you connect to the wireless signal.

Second-Level North Bedroom
|
Another bedroom that was remodeled in 2007...all new plaster and paint. Nice and cozy with a very comfortable queen bed dramatically ablaze with lovely matching dust ruffle, comforter and pillow shams. Truly a haven of relaxation!

The New Game Lounge
|
Our huge oversized double-car garage (25' X 30') has been transformed into a very nice new Game Lounge. Two 9 foot glass windows now bathe the space in light. Guest can enjoy a great game of billiards on the great old Valley Slatetop, or crash some ping-pong balls on the Kettler table.
Soon to be added are a new heat pump to control the temperature in this vast space, plus a new flat-screen digital television with DVD player to set a festive tone for the room!
Indeed, a great place to chill out!

Outdoor Living Area...the Oceanside Sundeck
|
Located just outside the greatroom, this 16' X 30' sundeck provides guests endless panoramic views of the Atlantic. Looking north is the skyline of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk...particulary striking at night as it sparkles in the distance. And, looking south in the distance is the Little Island Fishing pier, and beyond, the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge...and, beyond, North Carolina.
Lots of seating is provided...table and chairs for six plus a number of other folding Kettler chairs and four wooden chaise lounges.
On a given day, you'll likely witness a number of pods of dolphin putting on a private show for you...there's always surprises when you are on the ocean...perhaps a visit from a sea turtle or a harbor seal, you never know...

Parking

We pride ourselves in having "the cleanest driveway in Sandbridge Beach"! Our circular driveway provides plenty of room for offstreet parking around our natural center rotunda...you'll likely not have to worry about suffling cars around. And, you'll have easy entry access into the newly remodeled Game Lounge...new paint, newly stained concrete floor, a two new nine foot window walls...it's awesome!
Plus, both exterior entry doors now have touchpad deadbolts that eliminates the need for keys...this definitely "keeps it simple" for everyone!
